Application for the Morinville & District Agriculture Society (MADAS)
Organization & Events Program

The MADAS is pleased to once again sponsor many local agriculturally focused organizations and events across the Morinville & District area each year. If you have an event taking place between June and September, then you can submit your sponsorship proposal to MADAS for consideration.

Deadline for submission for this year’s program is April 1st. Due to timelines, proposals submitted after this date will not be considered.

Proposals are then reviewed and selections determined by May 1st. A response to your request will be communicated to you shortly after this date. Please note: MDAS receives numerous sponsorship proposals for organizations and events across our district. Unfortunately we are unable participate in all of them. If you are not selected for the current years program, you are welcome to re-submit for next year’s program (submissions accepted beginning January each year).

How to Submit:

  1. Please fill out MDAS’s sponsorship application form (see sponsor applications below). When you click “Submit”, it will automatically be forwarded to MDAS’s Community Relations Dept.
  2. You may forward any additional information to the Morinville & District Ag. Society (please see e-mail address and mailing address below). We look forward to another summer program, full of events from across the Morinville & District areas!

Our Community Relations Program:

To help you in preparing your sponsorship request, the Morinville & Disctrict Ag. Society has created the following information on our application approval process. We hope it will help you understand the factors we consider when reviewing each request.

Our Sponsorship Program:

MDAS’s Sponsorship Program provides support and funding for a wide range of community events and organizations across the Morinville & District region. We evaluate each sponsorship opportunity based on several factors, including fit with our organization’s community plans, community opportunities, how it reflects our organization’s values and availability of resources. While we welcome sponsorship request submissions throughout the year, our decisions are determined by our annual budget and other sponsorship commitments. Decision Process: Because of the high number of requests we receive each week, MDAS’s evaluation process can take between 3 to 5 weeks – longer for major events – before we respond to your request. To ensure we have enough time to properly evaluate, respond and develop marketing plans in support of your event, please submit your sponsorship request as early as possible. For example, if you are planning a large event (regional or provincial), please submit your request at least 9-12 months prior to the event date. For medium to small events, please submit 4-6 months prior.

Restrictions:

We regret that the following requests do not fit our sponsorship guidelines, and cannot be considered for funding:

  • Merchandise or general cash donation requests
  • Religious institutions or organizations
  • Political organizations and candidates
  • Travel expenses, trips or tours (unless directly related to MDAS’S organizational focus)
  • Conferences, symposiums or tradeshows (unless directly related to MDAS’S organizational focus)
  • Scholarship or bursary donations (unless directly related to MDAS’S organizational focus)
  • Schools or other secondary educational institutions (unless directly related to MDAS’S organizational focus)
  • Costs associated with campaigns or businesses
  • Unregistered, not-for-profit organizations
  • Purchase of vehicles, trailers or equipment

Please ensure that your application is properly completed so we are able to process it.
